  • Mohd Shahrizal Sunar (Institute of Human Centered Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia)+ BioProfesor Dr Mohd Shahrizal Sunar is the Director of Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn) and Founding Director of Media and Game Innovation Centre of Excellence (MaGICX), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He obtained his PhD from National University of Malaysia. His major field of study is real-time and interactive computer graphics and virtual environment. He received his MSc in Computer Graphics and Virtual Environment from The University of Hull, United Kingdom and BSc degree in Computer Science majoring in Computer Graphics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He served as an academic member at the School of Computing, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Since 2009, he had been given the responsibility to become the Head for Department of Graphics and Multimedia as well as leading the Virtual, Visualisation and Vision research group (UTM ViCubeLab). Dr. Shahrizal is an active professional member of ACM SIGGRAPH, IEEE Computer Society and International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and Fellow for European Alliance of Innovation (EAI). The current research program that he lead are Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Gamification, User Interaction/User Experience (UI/UX) and Creative Content Technology. He had published numerous articles in high-impact refereed journals, conference proceedings, books and technical papers including articles in magazines. Prof Shah had invented a number of innovative products to be commercialized from his research.
  • EG SU GOH (School of computing, Faculty of Engineering, UTM)+ BioDr. Goh Eg Su received the B.S. degree in information technology and the M.S. degree in technical and vocational education from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM), Malaysia, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. She was a Lecturer with the Kolej Komuniti Jempol, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia within 2009-2011 and Kolej Komuniti Tanjung Piai, Pontian, Johore, Malaysia, within 2011-2016. She further studied within 2016-2019 and received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia UTM, in 2019. She was a former Scholar and a Researcher with the Media and Game Innovation Centre of Excellence (MaGICX), UTM. She have published some articles in national and international conferences including publication in high impact journals. Her research interests including computer graphics and information technology (especially in augmented reality and human-computer interaction). After the study leaves, she had been posted as a senior lecturer with Politeknik Balik Pulau, teaching Android Application Development and Integrative Programming and Technologies from August 2019 until Jun 2020. Currently, she is a senior lecturer with School of Computing, Faculty of Engineering, UTM.

Aims & Scope
Change is constant and most of the time unavoidable. Change brings new opportunities and challenges that translate into new innovations and ideas for the future. Fourth industrial revolutions are changing the global economic landscape covering growth areas such as big data and machine learning, cybersecurity, digital currencies, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) with expected creations of 30,000 jobs in the next 2 years in ASEAN alone. New areas like Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Network, and Infrastructure, and Software The development will replace or make the traditional workforce obsolete. Emerging job positions such as digital content creator, programmer, social media manager that can easily be done at home are changing the way the company is functioning.

The aim of this special issue is to explore the technological innovations and adoption of technological developments depending on innovation perception, personal, practice, and social factors. Understanding the barriers and incentives for the use of digital technologies is crucial for anticipating future developments.
